Glacier National Parkšļø
Iāve been slacking big time on this account, and thereās so much I want to share from my trip out west last month.
Visiting Glacier National Park was a dream! Waking up to the stars, driving in the dark up going to the sun road and arriving at Loganās Pass just as the sunās rays creeped out from behind the mountains.
We wandered through the alpine meadows of hidden lake trail and arrived to the overlook just as the alpenglow spit its fiery light on the surrounding peaks.
The 3 hour parking limit at the pass was our only time constraint, but we did manage to cross the road and meander along the highline trail for a bit, running into some big horn sheep and more mesmerizing views.
The days prior were rainy and cloudy, making for a wonderfully moody hike through the trail of cedars to avalanche lake.
We took a ride out to Polebridge Mercantile for a huckleberry bear claw and explored Lake McDonald Lodge and waterfall.
On our way out of the east entrance we finally saw a young black bear foraging on the roadside, as we continued our drive north east up to Canada.
I could have sat and admired these views for eternity and it still wouldnāt have been enough time. š¤
