The things you do for photos!

Over winter, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing these 2 beautiful humans as they exchanged their vows. had some really fun ideas for her special day.

This photo of her smiling down at me quickly became one of my faves. How did we get the shot? I laid on my back on the snow in some very cold weather lol! I asked them to join hands, and then walk over me until I said stop. I LOVE her smile! I LOVE the blue sky. I LOVE these 2 💜

I'm not sure which guest watching from inside got the shot of me on the ground, but I thank you very much!

If you have followed my posts for any bit of time, you know that I love the dreamy golden hour light before sunset. On this day, photographing Lauren + Stephan for their engagement session, Mother Nature gave us some stunning, moody fog and ocean mist. It's just, WOW!

I met Lauren + Stephan last summer while working in . This year, Stephan returned while Lauren remained in Vermont. The very night he was planning to propose to Lauren, I was trying to invite myself out to dinner with them 🤣🤣🤣. When he told me his plan, I could not have been happier for them. (Obviously she said yes!)

Congratulations Lauren + Stephan!!!! Our whole work family is beyond happy for you!!! Thank you for allowing me to take these photos for you. I'm so happy to have been a.part of these special moments 💜

How do you get 10 people to look at you at the same time? You wait 🧭.

And keep clicking that shutter button lol! So happy to be back behind the camera 📸! Coming off the heels of my best season ever in 2019 into a pandemic was rough. I wasn't even sure I'd continue photographing people.

Then this sweet lady, Melly 💜, reached out. We had talked about family photos before the shutdown, and working with her and her family was the wind my sails needed to get back in the saddle.😊. Is it weird that I just reference sailing and horseback riding in the same sentence? 🤔

Thank you Melly, Bear, and fam for this really fun session. I'm so glad you are happy with your photos, and so glad you chose me to capture them for you.

Pumpkin French Toast.

Yes, is tomorrow. When the turkey is gone, and you are still craving the flavors of fall, pumpkin French toast for Saturday or Sunday brunch is going to be just what you need.

Hearty, housemade pumpkin bread. Spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. Served with pumpkin butter and Maine maple syrup. Can you tell French Toast is my fave? I enjoyed eating (I mean shooting!) this dish very much 😁. Oh, don't forget the apple cider Mimosa 🥂

GOT SHAKSHUKA?

I admit, I had never heard of this dish prior to shooting it. is eggs poached in a red pepper and tomato sauce. Served here with cilantro and pico de gallo. YUM.

Food photography is so much fun! Especially when you get to sample the goods. 😋 I am a very picky eater, and still enjoyed the amazing flavors in this dish.
