Hi, I’m Kortney ◡̈

For anyone new here, I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Southern California. My approach to photography is pretty simple. Honest moments, good light, and making it feel like you’re just hanging out with a friend. 🤘🏼❤️‍🔥

Some of you might remember , the stationery brand I started during the pandemic ✨ I eventually closed that chapter, but it led me to dream up , a vending machine experience for weddings that blends my love for celebrations, stationery, and art 🎟️💌

For a while, I honestly felt a little weird sharing anything From Kioni related on this account. I thought everything had to live in its own neat little box.

Lately I’ve realized that all of these things are just different parts of the same creative life 🌿

If you’ve noticed more gym and personal life stories popping up here, you’re not imagining it 💪🏼 I’ve been testing the waters while I figure out what the next chapter of From Kioni might look like. There is a good chance it slowly turns into my fitness and life shenanigans corner of the internet. 🌱

Safe to say I was in love the entire time.

I love, love. One of the many reasons is that it always brings me back to Santa Barbara ✨

I graduated from UCSB in 2018, and every year since then weddings seem to bring me back to my old stomping grounds 🌿

Each time I return, I feel like a newer version of myself walking through places that once felt so familiar.

Grateful this work keeps bringing me back here 🤍🏛️🕊️

This warm weather really has me romanticizing this September summer wedding at Newland Barn. 🦋✨

Golden light, soft linens… and the prettiest little touches of “something blue” woven throughout 💙
