This warmer weather is reminding me of this incredible outdoor wedding, where the temperatures broke records for the time of the year. But that didn’t stop everyone from showing up and showering this couple with their love. Such a beautifully meaningful ceremony!

Why location scout alone, when you can location scout AND photograph your friend experiencing her first pregnancy?

It’s time to show my face again.

Can you believe this is year 7 as a wedding photographer? I’m so grateful of the journey I’ve had to make it to this point. I have some big things planned for this year but for now, here’s a few fun facts for any new followers…

1) I got my bachelors in English Literature in May 2020, and if COVID didn’t happen, I’d probably still be teaching English in South Korea.

2) I have a home library of over 300 books that I’ve been growing since high school.

3) I’m a HUGE Disney fan. I’ve been going to the parks all my life. My favorite Disney movie is Mulan, and my favorite Pixar movie is Wall-E.

4) I started learning photography on film in high school. Our school was the only one with a dark room in all of South OC.

A few weeks ago, I shared a little re-edit of some photos I took at this shoot 5 years ago. And I had so much fun doing those edits that I kept going and going.

But the more I kept going, the more frustrated I felt with my digital images. It wasn’t giving me the same satisfaction as the initial edit, or even when I first edited this shoot years ago.

So I decided to switch to editing the original film images, and let out a sigh of relief.

I think these were taken on my first 35mm film camera out of high school and the colors are everything to me, even now. Minor tweaks, straightening of horizons, and I’m finished editing in minutes.
