More often than not, I cringe when I look at my old work but every so often I come across an image from early in my career where I see the spark of something that would take root and persist through the years. This photo of Kelly and John is a good example. This was one of the first weddings I photographed nearly 20 years ago and they should not have paid me money for this. But this image, with them lost in love with each other, illuminated only by warm afternoon light through stained glass, is the type of moment I still search for, when a couple forgets I'm there because they are so enamored in a quiet moment together. That said, it's a bit stronger after a 2026 edit. Swipe to see what I delivered to them. š¬
