After a recent trip home (i.e. Jamaica) in February 2021, I decided I needed to organize my photos in some way. One thought led to another and I decided to create a book. During the process, I rediscovered that creating anything is difficult, but not as difficult as achieving perfection. Being a software engineer and strongly believing in iterative development, I’ve decided to release an edition, since there are no guarantees that I will ever be able to achieve perfection. Ideally, I wanted to make the book free since the aim of the book is to showcase Jamaican wildlife to Jamaicans and Tourists, with the hope that the book will be a catalyst to encourage all to preserve our wildlife and their natural habitats. (Unfortunately I have to charge at least $3.00, but I’ve enabled loaning :)). It’s kinda crazy how easy it is to actually get a book published. I can’t even imagine how difficult the process would have been 20 years ago. I guess the good and bad thing about the internet age is that it grants everyone a platform lol.
