Wow! I’m honored to be included in ‘s favorite wedding photos of the year for the second year in a row!
You may know I that don’t really submit anything for awards or features, so when something comes up like this I feel extra honored (and lucky) to be recognized. Everything about the way I work and shoot is about serving each couple, supporting them in prioritizing their experience, and making honest photos that reflect how it felt to be there making a beautiful commitment in a beautiful place. It’s not at all about any self-focused motivation to making photos that will get me recognition or awards. The most rewarding feeling comes from hearing a couple tell me that they will cherish their photos and experience forever.
Thank you for following along! I’m grateful to be doing what I love full time. ❤️

Do you know why sunset and sunrise are the ideal times for portrait photography in many outdoor, sun-exposed locations? It’s mostly because the light is soft, colorful and flattering to faces! Harsher midday light casts dark, contrasty shadows and also makes people squint. We scheduled this pre-wedding adventure session to end at sunset and we ended up getting the dreamiest, creamiest gold light.

Aleah and Lily met me for engagement photos in the very place where Lily proposed last year. I always love getting to know a couple in this way before their wedding day. Doing a portrait session is an exercise of trust and vulnerability because you’re putting yourselves out there in a way you don’t normally do every day. But the reward is having photos that can make you say “this feels like us!” and be able to revisit that time in your life later on. Thank you, Lily and Aleah, for showing me your affectionate connection, and trusting me with that vulnerability! ❤️ can’t wait for your wedding next summer with !
