Been busy out in Miami Beach working the live broadcast for the fitness festival but wanted to share these other images from last weeks epic sunset at the Santa Cruz . This is a sequence of shots showing the progression of color from pre-sunset to well after sundown. I really like how the seagulls cooperated with me on this one. Prints always available. 😀

Last night’s sunset was pretty epic! Different colors and cloud formations in every direction you looked. I’ve been shooting the boardwalk a lot lately, mostly because there are only so many days a year that everything lines up perfectly in this location. In the summer, when the boardwalk is open daily, we get a lot of fog and don’t usually get the vibrant sunsets that we do in the winter, so warm spring days like this one when the boardwalk is open and the skies are blowing up, is the perfect time to take in this view. I typically shoot from the bluff or the other side of the San Lorenzo River but last night I went down to the beach when the tide was low to get those nice reflections in the wet sand. This was one of the last images I took last night, long after the sun had set. More images from last night to come. Thanks for looking. I love capturing the motion of water. Varying shutter speeds or intentional camera movement can yield different and interesting results. From longer exposures that blur and smooth out the motion to super fast shutter speeds that capture every little detail, there is always a fun way to experiment with moving water. Here is a set of a few of my favorite photographs using some of those same techniques.
