Yesterday, at the American Legion, Department of California annual convention in Visalia, I was so honored to be presented with a Certificate of Recognition from the California State Assembly and our Area 4 District 23 Commander, Gregory Taylor.

This was recognition for my work with the American Legion and the veteran community.

I captured this wonderful summer bloom of a "Picasso" Cana lily in my neighbor's yard. It is quite exquisite to say the least.

I was notified today by the city of Santa Fe Springs that a banner honoring my Navy service has been put on public display. Located on Pioneer Blvd where it intersects Orr and Day Road. The city is celebrating the 250th anniversary of America. So cool.
