“Southern Pacific”

Even in 2021,  remnants of the great Southern Pacific Railroad still exist! Here locomotive #1059, an S6 built by ALCO sits next to the Original Depot built by SP in 1887 in Santa Paula.  whether this is the last time this image is created remains to be seen

AMTK 161, The Phase I Heritage Locomotive leads Train #11 the southbound Coast Starlight along the shore of Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura just after sunset on August 24, 2021. The Train was over an hour and a half late due to over a dozen restrictions between SLO and Santa Barbara.

161 is one of 6 differently painted locomotives for the 50th Anniversary of Amtrak.
