This Red Winged Blackbird was kind enough to pose. It was for but a moment and yet enough. I have many pictures with a branch in front of the face or with a branch out the top of the head. I was quite a ways away. Shot it at 560. mm. f11.0 1/1000s ISO 2500. Very pleased with the sharp detail.

This was such an exciting find. I ran back to get my camera to capture this succulent extravaganza extraordinaire. I enjoy pulling out the detail from the whole. Editing limited to what google photos can do. I highlighted shadows. zoomed in. lightened it up a bit as it was a foggy morning. I love the contrasting colors. I hope you enjoy.

Mendicino Coast Botanical Gardens

Spent the day practicing flower photography. Working on getting crisp closeup with background blurring. Canon R10 Settings: f /6.3; 1/500; 43mm; ISO 500. This is a wonderful to practice as there are so many flowers and varied lighting situations. Thank you for requesting this shot.

Bodega Bay Ca

I love to see close up things that I otherwise would not see in such detail. Capturing a still moment in time creates the challenge for me. I don't do much post editing. I don't have any software except what google photos offers. There is cropping and perhaps some tweaks to create some pop.
the specs: f/8.0; 1/1250s; 300mm; ISO 500

Thank you asking me to post this photo.

Entering Death Valley

In May of 2023 I took a last minute road trip to a place
I personally never thought about going to before and I fell in love. Luckily it wasn?t as hot as it can get there because my cars AC decided to die while we were there.

The Living Desert Palm Springs

What a delightful location for amazing animal shots. The backdrop makes you think you are in their natural habitat. You can get very close to the animals even feed the giraffes but do look out for that big, long blue grey tongue.

Mendocino Headlands State Park

Some serious flight planning happening here at the Mendocino coast, a most spectacular stretch of coastline and a resident pelican population. Fun to hang out among the rocks watching them come and go.
