I'm dedicating today's post to Mack.
When I met him, this big slobbery, delightful "bear of a boy" as Karen calls him, came up to greet me, ready for his close-up.He had the sweetest demeanor, and was very interested in all my gear. He was my first subject for my Human's and Their Beasts project, and what a beautiful beast he was!
Today, I learned he had crossed over the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago.
I hate that our furry friends are with us for so short a time. But the love, the joy, the companionship, and present moment alertness they bring to us is like a hundred years of living crammed into just a few short ones. It's worth the heartache 10x over.
Much love to you, Karen, and your family, who have to process such a loss❤️
