I shot this video for the Rutherford Dust Society a couple weeks back. They were given a much higher bid to get the video done by a production company, and I put a bid in that was much lower and got the job. My costs are lower being a one-man production team. I shoot, run audio, and do the editing all in one.

And speaking of editing, I only had a couple days to get it edited, so it was the perfect opportunity to get myself out into some wilderness and get it done. That’s what life is all about for me.

I woke up at 3am this morning to track up and watch the above Sonoma county... I met up with a group of 5 other friends and a dog and we all headed up. I forgot my tripod in my car, so I had to balance my camera on my backpack and hope for the best. I rigged my Nikon 70-200mm lens on my Sony A6500 to get a little extra reach from the crop sensor.anually focusing was tough, and I’m not sure that this is tack sharp, but I like it nonetheless. 🌚
I had shot a bunch of them with a blank sky, but saw a tree silhouette on the wall back to the car, and had to get the camera out again. I’m glad I did, because it seems like everyone else got that photo with the empty sky, and I haven’t seen too many with anything in the foreground yet 🙌🏼
