It's crazy that this video is over a decade old! It was created to showcase my love and passion of newborn photography.
Watching it today brings back so many memories - the tiny babies, the nervous first-time parents, the families who trusted me to capture one of the most important moments of their lives.
So much has changed since this video was released over a decade ago.... giant newborn flower headbands are no longer in style, this adorable little studio I had in the Birdrock area of La Jolla has since been torn down, my studio is now in Santee and triple the size, my props, fabric and accessory selection has quadrupled, new cameras, lenses, lighting, etc.
On the more personal side, look at my little girls! The tiny toddler girl I am exchanging a pretend potato chip with just graduated high school last week! And can we talk about the fact that we used to run and work out with cords attaching our phones to our headphones? Lol.
What’s amazing is that while so much has changed over the years, one thing hasn’t: my love for newborn photography.
In fact, it’s grown.
Every newborn session still feels like an honor. Every tiny yawn, curled-up pose, and sleepy smile reminds me why I fell in love with this work in the first place.
Over the years, I’ve photographed hundreds of San Diego’s newest little loves, watched families grow, and even welcomed many former newborn clients back with babies of their own. Those relationships mean everything to me.
This isn’t just a job for me. It’s a passion that has shaped my life for more than 17 years.
Thank you to every family who has trusted me with their memories. Whether you were one of my very first clients or you’re expecting your first baby right now, I’m so grateful you’re here.
And if you’re currently waiting to meet your little one, I’d be honored to help preserve these fleeting first days before they become a blur of memories.
Because they are only this little once.
