This tree gets its nickname from its distinctly colored bark, which ranges in color from bright green to grey. This unique bark is formed because the tree sheds its dark, outer layers throughout the year, revealing patches of fresh, bright green bark underneath. As this green bark ages, it changes colors to orange, red, and finally a light grey-brown when the tree will shed it again. You can find her in the Bayfront Gardens at The Ringling. This is one of the most artful trees I've ever seen! The rainbow eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta) is native to the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.

Let me tell you about an ancient tree named Esmerelda... 🥰

Name: The Esmerelda Oak (unofficial)
Location: Myakka River State Park (Birdwalk)
Age: Approx 200 Years Old

This oak is one that has eluded me many times. A dear friend first spoke of it and i just knew i had to find it. I visited this park shortly after the hurricanes ravaged the area, but I couldn't find it due to the destruction at that time. Today was the day, though. Every tree I visit has a "guardian". Today it was a wonderful woman who found herself grounded in its roots enjoying a lovely picnic among the gentle breeze. I could tell she was a good soul. It's nice to find those who appreciate these trees the way that I do. Deeply rooted and arms extended, this tree held me for a moment. I thanked it for being a sight to behold and breathed in the air it shared. Trees give us oxygen. Without them we would not be here. Today was a solid reminder to take a deep breath and remember to connect with God in a way like no other. I needed this grounding session. I'm very grateful. 🙏🏻

Name: The Landmark Banyan
Age: Approx 104 Years Old
Location: Corner of Osceola and Florida in Stuart, FL.

This tree was interesting to find, as there isn't much information on it. But, I was on a mission to experience its beauty! It was quite a site when i walked upon it, through the pretty little trellis walkway. I've added a map if you'd like to visit it!

This is one of the oldest banyans in Martin County, and it was planted in the late 1920s or early '30s by Lillie Moore, wife of Drew W. King Sr., owner of the Pelican Hotel, which was located on the parcel adjacent to the tree. The Kings were friends of the Cheeks, Sarah (Johnson) and Newman M., from Nashville, Tennessee, who with brother Robert was associated with Maxwell House Coffee.; Robert Cheek owned Bay Tree Lodge on Sewall's Point.

Location: Manatee Village Historical Park, Bradenton, FL.

This tree was dedicated in 2014 by the Sons of the American Revolution. The way it curves over the old historical site is pretty awesome! It sits among a village of historical buildings moved here from the county to commemorate revolutionary times.

Location: Dade Battlefield State Park, Fl.
Age: 400 Years Old

This 400 year old Southern Live Oak was already a colossal beauty when the men of Dade's Battle fought and died here on the neighboring battlefield.

The tree guardian is a little old woman that will be happy to tell you the tale of the battle and intice you into the museum nearby to learn the history of this beautiful grand oak and the battles of Dade. 🥰

I got to visit an old tree friend today. The Cellon Oak has one of the widest trunks I've ever seen. It's been through a lot and lost most of its limbs. I feel a bit renewed after talking to God under that big oak. 🙏🏻

I took a few minutes to take the tree walk at a park in Blairsville, GA. today. All of the trees are labeled for identification. This V-shaped Sycamore was so big, I could feel an energy vortex when i stood in between them. The wind rustled and I just knew it was God's way of reminding me in right where I'm supposed to be. At a point of surrender🙏🏻
