I originally created these self-portraits to promote the Sensual & Sovereign mini sessions I’m offering to our private group with .co. But I realized I wanted to share them for a different reason too.
Not everyone agrees with posting photos like these. Some people are uncomfortable with them. Some are offended by them. But I see these photos as a celebration, not just of my body but of my strength, confidence, and creativity. My body literally created life and birthed a whole human being. It has carried me for 43 years through so many highs and lows. It deserves to be honored, not hidden.
I’m not defined by one photo or one moment. I’m a whole person. I’m a mother, an artist, a friend, and a sexual, confident woman. Those things are not in conflict. They are all part of what makes me who I am. I have always seen beauty in the human body, and I see it in my own body too. That’s something I hope to pass on to my daughter, pride in her full self.
These images were taken on my lanai in the middle of the day. No elaborate studio. No complicated setup. Just natural light, my camera, and a willingness to be seen.
Don’t wait for permission to celebrate yourself exactly as you are. You don’t need to change a thing before stepping in front of the camera. You already belong there. If this resonates, I’d be so honored to create with you!
