I know how busy fall can be for families. School is back in session and there is homework to finish, sports practices, activities, and approximately a million things on the calendar.

That’s why I designed the Fresh Faces sessions to be quick and simple. They take place on select afternoons in September and October, at my studio which is just two miles from downtown Saratoga Springs. This allows you to easily pop in for a 15 minute session on your way home from school or before the evening’s activities begin.

Maybe the last time was when your youngest was a baby. Maybe you’ve been waiting for the right season, the right outfits, or for life to calm down a little. Or maybe another year has simply gotten away from you.
Here’s your reminder that you don’t need a milestone to make family portraits worth doing.
I love photographing families exactly as they are right now—the snuggles, the belly laughs, the kids who need to move, and yes, even the ones who want absolutely nothing to do with my camera at first.

September + October are some of my favorite months for family portraits in Saratoga Springs, and I’m currently booking fall sessions. We can head outdoors, keep things cozy at home, or create something simple and timeless in the studio.

For each Little Loves session, I ask parents a few questions about their children. My favorite thing is to ask what their favorite songs are so that I can make a playlist just for them! Once they are comfortable, I then ask them what they want me to take a picture of after they’ve gotten comfortable.

You never know what they’ll say! Those genuine, candid moments usually become my favorite portraits!

These beautiful First Communion portraits at Central Park Rose Garden captured an extra-special milestone. This Rose Garden in Schenectady was the perfect setting. With rows and rows of blooming roses surrounding us, the garden provided the most beautiful backdrop.  This sweet girl absolutely loved her white First Communion dress, and I loved watching her spin and twirl around in her dress. Those playful portraits bring so much personality to portraits and keep the experience feeling fun and natural.
