Hi friends! I know I’ve been MIA on here - I wanted to give some as to why. Before I start this whole thing, YES we are still doing photos! But, a few things have changed. We have started up an online children’s boutique (Little Love James Boutique) & it has taken up a ton of time for us. We are easily pushing 20+ packages a week! I’ve truly enjoyed doing it, but it’s been bittersweet because in a way… I feel like I’ve abandoned my photography business (which has never been my intention, it’s just hard to manage everything at once) 😞
Anyone who knows us, knows how hard we worked for this. It’s something I would never abandon - only alter to fit where we’re at in life right now. I think that’s the biggest thing with life! You just have to keep readjusting as things change, plans change, etc. Life is all about change & we are learning that more than ever now with our little boy!
Of course he is our main priority. This decision was made based on a variety of factors, but him at the forefront. As most know, photoshoots are on the weekends & if you knew our schedule at all… we were gone every single weekend, of course all in the evening too. With my husband working full time, it became a lot to manage with a 3m old. So, we readjusted our business just a bit.
New things that have went into effect as of May 2024:
1. We have raised our prices (they are higher. we still use payment plans to make everything as convenient as possible)
2. We have changed our booking times. morning times are preferred & will be a little bit cheaper!
3. We have limited the amount of shoots we take on monthly - open spots are few & far between.
Things are a little bit more exclusive now & it’s for the best with where we are in life currently.
I understand if what we are offering now does not fit what you’re looking for or fit for you any longer - trust me. This decision was really hard to make. We are really trying to limit the amount of shoots we take on so we do not get overbooked.
I’ve always tried to appeal to a huge variety of clients… from all different walks of life, all price points. It becomes a lot trying to be everything for everyone (in two different businesses) and of course, alongside my main priority: being a wife & mama. So raising the prices was necessary for us. Offering an exclusive experience where we only take on a tiny amount of sessions per month was necessary.
Although this change didn’t come easy, we know it will benefit us and our little boy in the end.
I am so thankful to those who have stuck with us through all of our changes in this career. I’m blessed to have clients/customers that play both ends of the table & support us in either business. How special that is to us! 🥹
I have been blessed in this life being able to do what we do. Whether it be photography or an e-commerce boutique, or my favorite, getting to be a stay at home mama… You guys have helped make that happen for me. so thank you forever and ever.
