Ceremonies are one of the shortest parts of a wedding day. And yet, it often holds the most meaning.

It’s where you make the promise. The commitment. It’s what carries you into your marriage. Because after your wedding day is over, that’s truly what remains: the vows you made, the sacred act of exchanging rings, and the person standing beside you.

So, yes, your ceremony may only take a few minutes, but those few minutes hold a lifetime.

On the farm with D & J 🐴

Motherhood has wildly changed the way I see everything. Becoming a mother has also sparked a new kind of creative joy in me - one that has me wanting to photograph more of the fleeting seasons of motherhood and family life.

Counting down the days until I’m in South Dakota watching these two tie the knot 🤍

While I’ve taken a tremendous step back from destination weddings and elopements after having my son, it’s still something I’m passionate about! I think as time goes on, I’ll open my books for more travel…and maybe I’ll have my family in tow 🥹

But until then, I’m so (so so so so) excited for all of the love stories I’m capturing in the coming season, including these two stunners 😍

Nearly 30 years of loving each other, and a wedding day that felt like the most beautiful celebration of everything they’ve built together.

What made this day especially unforgettable wasn’t just the intimacy of it, but the people surrounding them. Their families showed up with so much genuine love, joy, and support - it was the kind of room where you could feel just how deeply these two are loved.

After nearly three decades together, watching them celebrate their marriage surrounded by the people who have been part of their story was incredibly special. Their families offered so much warmth to me that I honestly felt more like a guest than a vendor. Days like that are so, so special to me. Truly one of those wedding days where I’m reminded why I love documenting love stories so much. 🤍

This is why I always say I want your engagement session to feel less like a photoshoot and more like a really good date night. These two wanted to hang out on the boat and enjoy a sunset on the water together, and that’s exactly what we did. The goal isn’t always having everything look perfect. To me, the most beautiful images happen when you’re making memories, not posing for them. Safe to say these two understood the assignment ☀️

And I loooove playing around with perspective, especially when we have your whole wedding party involved

The rain brought their ceremony inside but it was suchhh a vibe, it’s giving opulence

Probably one of my favorite reception candids of all time: the bride filming the dance floor on Super 8 while the groom and his sister sing along with the . Moments like these deserve to shine just as much as the rest of the day 🪩

Not sure which was hotter: the temps or pretty much everything about these two 🥵

Both were about to be deployed separately for a year, and they wanted a couples shoot for “a keepsake while we are deployed as little reminders of our playfulness, our chemistry, and our love.” As someone who knows what it’s like to have deployments and a long distance relationship, it was so special for me to get to capture these. It really puts into perspective just how meaningful a simple photo can mean 🤍
