I am a color photo girlie through and through, but there are some moments that just NEED to be in black-and-white. It takes away all distractions and only the emotion is left behind. Mallory walking to the chapel where her fiance and 20 of her family members were waiting is one of those moments. I can’t wait to get their elopement up on the Journal soon!

These three are proof that branding photos can still feel warm + creative. If you are on social media, you likely follow and/or have seen her incredible murals that have officially taken over the internet. I had the immense honor of capturing her + her team of powerhouse women in her studio during my time in Birmingham, and it filled my soul to the brim. Happy anniversary to J + M, whose Swan House wedding day was one for the books. Spring in Atlanta can be unpredictable, and it rained almost the entire day of their celebration. We got lucky and had one glorious hour where the rain held off, and we got the portraits of my dreams. I will forever love this day and this couple 🥹🫶🏻

In a world of instant gratification, I love when a film photo comes in and reminds me that artistry can still exist in the waiting. Yes, you will have an entire gallery from me of early favorites to post mere hours after your wedding day, but you’ll also get photos that will withstand centuries to come. Hi 👋🏻 lots of new faces around here lately, so I wanted to reintroduce myself. I’m Abigail, owner and lead photographer here at A Thomas Photography. I’ve been in this industry as an Atlanta wedding photographer for over 14 (!!!) years, and here are a few things you might not know about me:

-I went to and got my degree in communications and marketing
-I don’t drink coffee, but I’ve made my love for a personality trait
-I usually pre-game your engagement session and/or wedding day with a true crime podcast. What can I say, it relaxes me 😅😂
-I once worked as a floral assistant, and I cut the stems too short every. single. time. Sorry
-My husband is a stay-at-home dad, so we are almost always together during the week
-I am so thankful you are here and along for this crazy ride. Special thanks to my cuties for this photo and my girl for the beauty for our mastermind dinner last week in Birmingham!
