Photos of what are the remainders of the ALCO factory where "The Big Boy" was manufactured.The famous steam locomotive Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 was built by the American Locomotive Company (often called ALCO).
It was constructed at ALCO’s plant in Schenectady in 1941.
This makes it especially notable if you’re near Schenectady—that city was once a major center of locomotive manufacturing in the United States.
