Somewhere over the rainbow in Montana.
Some probably remember this, but I've been going through photos to enter into a contest, so it's bringing back memories.
One of the most incredible mornings I've seen.
First morning on the east side of Glacier National park, I saw a dramatic rainbow on Swiftcurrent Lake as the sun rose. Driving back out I saw this double rainbow on Lake Sherburne. It was the start of one of the coolest days ever.
Shortly after this I crossed the Canadian border and headed north through rural southern Alberta, up to Calgary and over through Banff and ended the day at a cloudy Lake Louise.
Driving the rolling hills of an unfamiliar landscape through Alberta was incredible. It's a stark contrast to the mountains not far to the west, but still incredible in its own way. Had poutine at a McDonald's in a farm town. It was surprisingly good. Drove through a Tim Horton's to try the coffee. It was surprisingly bad. lol Dunkin's way better. 😉
It's not really a spectacular photo of the Glacier landscape, but the memory is.
Maybe one day I can go back.
