Hey friends, this isn’t spam!!!
I’m sharing something that’s been sitting heavy on me and I think is worth your attention:
Lately, it feels like so much is happening that is out of our control…
But I keep coming back to this truth
the most real impact we have starts close to home.
Here in Arizona, the Salt River wild horses are part of our state’s heritage and natural identity and this land also holds deep Indigenous history, and living cultural significance that deserves respect in how it is cared for and managed.
But there are still real gaps in how that protection is being carried out:
There is no clear public reporting on
• fertility control (PZP)
• how many horses are removed
• what happens to them after
• or the long-term impact on the herd
And there are no clearly defined protections once horses leave the designated area
That matters because if something is protected by law, we should actually be able to see how that protection is being upheld.
This petition is asking leaders like Warren Petersen and Steve Montenegro to bring clarity, transparency, and accountability back into the system.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by everything going on, this is one important, real place to put your attention and your voice!
Start local, get involved, and VOTE in the midterms!!

I love these wild beauties and I spend time observing them and photographing them often. I love this land. Let’s start caring for the earth that cares for us. 🐴 🌎🩷
