When a portrait session becomes a Marc Jacobs moment — and you can get one too.

A couple years ago, I photographed Lennox for my friend Chris, a fine art pet portrait session the way I approach all of them: with intention, with light, and with the dog’s personality at the center of every frame.

She submitted one of the images to the Bark Jacobs event at Marc Jacobs Scottsdale Fashion Square. That portrait was hand-painted onto a leather handbag. Complimentary.

Here’s the part worth knowing: the event is still happening. Every Saturday and Sunday at Scottsdale Fashion Square, Marc Jacobs is painting pet portraits onto leather handbags — complimentary with any qualifying leather purchase of $350 or more. Meet Baby Barrett! 🐾

We had the absolute joy of welcoming this golden girl to her brand new home with professional studio portraits on our classic fine art backdrop — and honestly, is there a better way to mark the beginning of a lifelong love story?

Barrett belongs to our dear friend Abigail, whom we’ve had the pleasure of knowing for years. Abigail and I used to hit the trails together with my studio mascot and resident adventure hound, Zayn — so it only felt right that Barrett’s very first portraits happen here, where she’s already surrounded by people who adore her.

🐶 Here’s the thing about puppies: they don’t stay small. That floppy-eared, oversized-paw, sleepy-in-your-lap phase? It’s measured in weeks, not years. Professional portraits captured now become irreplaceable heirlooms — the ones you’ll pull up on your phone at year five and actually tear up over.

Collins and the Superstitions. 🤍🌵

There’s something almost mythical about a white Swiss shepherd moving through the desert landscape — all that wild, rugged terrain and then this ethereal creature just owning every inch of it.

Collins was completely in his element out there. The Superstitions have a way of bringing out something untamed in a dog, and honestly? We were here for every second of it.

Our commitment to the pet industry remains stronger than ever. We’re gearing up for another year of our annual pet portrait fundraiser, which has raised over $4,000 for animal rescues. Every session makes a difference, and I can’t wait to capture more gorgeous pets while supporting the organizations doing incredible work.

This year also brings brand new sets to the studio!
