Hi everyone!
Just an update from me. Following a recent Seventh Circuit ruling concerning AI-generated images depicting fictional minors, Galestown Photography will be limiting and/or blurring the faces of minors in any publicly shared images.
I’ve chosen for quite some time not to publicly share photos of children by themselves, and I’ll continue that practice. Moving forward, this will also apply to my personal photos of family and friends. I’ll limit sharing photos that include minors, and any that I do share will have their faces blurred. For client family photos, I’ll continue to ask permission before sharing and will blur minors’ faces.
AI can be trained using publicly available images, and I want to protect my clients to my best ability. I do not want to take any chances with something so vulnerable.
Please note that this does not change your photos or your gallery in any way. You will still receive your full gallery, with all of the memories we captured together. You also reserve the right to post your gallery to your own social media pages.
I have had the honor of capturing beautiful moments for families for almost a decade now and will continue to do so.
Safety is my main priority. Thank you all SO much for your support. ❤️
