After editing the first session of the day from my Easter Duckling Mini Sessions, I had to share a small glimpse of what is to come.

I may be a little biased, but these feel like the kind of timeless, candid moments you can truly feel. I cannot wait to share the rest with everyone. Thank you to everyone who helped fill these sessions. Even with the chill in the air, it was such a rewarding experience.

We are just one day away from my Easter duck mini sessions! 🐤

Attendees, I sent an email earlier this week with all the details, please let me know if you didn’t receive it or if you have any questions.

The ducks are absolutely adorable, the weather is looking fair (just a little chilly in the morning), and the grass is finally turning green for us. I can’t wait to see everyone.

A couple quick reminders:
- Bathrooms are not available on the grounds

I have been dreaming up something sweet for spring, and I cannot wait to share it with you. 🌷🐥

I designed these Easter Minis from a place of pure inspiration, with the goal of capturing the feeling of childhood in the spring. These sessions will feature LIVE DUCKLINGS and a soft, timeless set styled with antique elements and fresh florals. They are perfect for little ones, but also so special for a mommy and me, siblings, cousins, or any sweet family pairing.

More than anything, I want these to feel natural. I am not focused on stiff, overly posed smiles at the camera. I want the giggles, the curiosity, the way they interact with a duckling, and the little expressions that show their personality. Of course I will try to grab a few classic shots, but my heart is set on candid images that truly feel like childhood.

Here are the general details to put on your radar:

Date: Saturday, March 28th

Where: Lynnville, Iowa (exact location coming soon) with a potential to open a second one in Montezuma if interest shows.

What: Sessions will be $250 for 15-20 minutes (10-20 photos). Galleries will be delivered before Easter. For the safety of the ducks, no dogs allowed.

Sign-ups will open Wednesday, February 25; first come first serve. I will share full booking details then, but for now I hope you can picture soft spring tones, baby ducklings, and the kind of moments that make you wish time would slow down just a little.

Some photographers don’t love photographing senior boys. I get it. They can be a little less expressive, sometimes a little irritated, and I’ve yet to meet many who say, “My idea of fun is taking senior photos.”

But senior boy sessions are actually some of my favorites…especially after becoming a boy mom myself.

My goal is simple: give them a positive experience in front of the camera that might change how they think about photos down the road. Because someday the photos matter. For family, for milestones, for the people who care about them.

I’m not trying to toot my own horn, but a lot of my seniors tell me by the end that they actually had fun. I enjoy getting to know them, meeting the moms who usually tag along, and building the session around what they’re proud of. Whether that’s FFA, trap shooting, sports, working on machinery, or just who they are right now.

Would most of them say getting photographed is their favorite way to spend an evening? Probably not. But if they walk away thinking it wasn’t so bad, and maybe even worth it someday, I’ll take that as a win.
