I had the chance to spend some time up close with Western Honey Bee (this was one of the drones) colonies alongside local beekeepers

Watching them work was amazing. Every bee had a role, moving with purpose to support the hive and pollinate the world around them. These tiny pollinators are responsible for so much of the food we rely on every day, yet they face constant challenges from habitat loss, pesticides, and disease.

What really stood out to me was how calm and docile they were. With proper care and respect, they weren’t aggressive at all, just focused on their job. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the relationship between beekeepers and their hives, working together to keep these colonies healthy and thriving.
Without these guys, we are doomed
