Cape Falcon looks calm from the trail… but from the sky, it’s a whole different world.
My drone slipped past the cliff edge and suddenly the entire Oregon coast opened up — waves exploding against the rocks, fog rolling like smoke over the forest, and that razor‑sharp coastline stretching into forever.

It felt like flying over the edge of a wild, breathing planet.
Every turn revealed something new — hidden coves, swirling currents, cliffs carved by storms.

Cape Falcon felt like the edge of the world. The trail wound through moss-covered trees while the sound of crashing waves echoed somewhere beyond the cliffs. Every step smelled of cedar, salt, and rain.
When I finally reached the viewpoint, the Pacific stretched endlessly beneath a gray Oregon sky. The wind roared, seabirds circled the rocks below, and for a moment, everything else went silent inside my mind. Cape Falcon wasn’t just a hike — it felt like nature reminding me how small we are, and how beautiful that can be.
