We help people create stronger images, grow their skills, and experience extraordinary places with leaders they can trust. Akari Photo Tours offers small-group photography adventures to epic destinations around the world. Our expert guides will put you in the right place at the right time for great photographs and offer instruction to help you improve your photography techniques and skills.

Join Viktoria Haack and Monika Deviat for nine days photographing the Canadian Rockies in winter, from Banff and Lake Louise to Abraham Lake.

With just eight photographers and two instructors, you’ll have help turning what you see into stronger photographs. We just returned from leading two more workshops in Mongolia. This year we were joined by Eagle Hunters we have known for over 14 years. It's always good to catch up in person.

Sometimes the schedules align.

When our Mongolia workshop dates line up with the Tumen Ekh Ensemble’s performance schedule, we’re able to rent out a theatre and arrange a private opportunity for our guests to photograph the cultural dancers. On one of our trips this year, we made it happen.

These photographs are a glimpse of that experience. The sweep of fabric, the expressions, the precision of each movement… there’s so much to work with as a photographer. You can freeze a moment or let a little motion tell the story.

Having the theatre to ourselves is a privilege, and I’m grateful to the performers for sharing their talent and a part of Mongolia’s culture with our group.

Even after all these years of bringing photographers to Mongolia, experiences like this still give me another reason to come back.
