a LOVELY micro wedding at jackson manor from a few weeks ago! this one was all about the fashion (and the feelings). the ceremony was pure romance - an off-the-shoulder gown with floral appliqué and a train for days, paired with a powder blue suit, petals flying for the petal exit. then came the outfit change: a blush pink gown with 3d floral appliqué (yes, it moves like a dream) and a darker tailored suit with a pink tie to match. they closed out the night with a sparkler exit, because when your wedding day is this stylish, you end it glowing.

but what really stayed with me was these two. some of the kindest people i’ve had the joy of photographing, surrounded by family and friends who clearly adore them. i’m so happy for them, and so grateful i got to document it. as a seattle wedding photographer, i love when couples treat their wedding day like an editorial shoot - it makes for some of my favorite documentary wedding photography. jackson manor is such a gorgeous backdrop for this kind of intimate, fashion-forward celebration.

❤️⛴️🌅 we loved documenting this sweet, unconventional celebration as a seattle wedding photographer and videographer team!

the couple said their vows in an intimate ceremony at the seattle municipal courthouse, just the two of them and their parents. simple, quiet, and exactly what they wanted.

the next day, they hosted a beautiful reception at the mv skansonia. we feel lucky to have been there and captured both photo and video before the historic vessel needed repairs, and we’re hoping to see her back on the water soon. the sunset that evening was unreal, golden light pouring across the water during the celebration.

less than 24 hours later, the couple boarded a cruise to alaska with several of their guests to keep the celebration going. courthouse vows one day, a cruise the next, we loved being part of their story.

Scenes from the summer Chef’s Table at Hall at Fauntleroy! 🍋🍸🍴

For this group tasting, the team at the Hall worked with Shelby from Shine Event Design, to create a welcoming environment full of summer energy. The event design centered around a bright color palette of lemons, blues, and yellows, with the slogan “Fresh Squeeze of Summer” guiding the overall aesthetic.
Upon entry, guests were welcomed into an interactive experience where an artist created custom watercolor animal-inspired portraits, adding a personal touch and fun surprise.

As guests moved through the space, they enjoyed two signature summer cocktails designed to complement the seasonal theme. A lemonade stand featuring a decorative lemon tree acted as a focal point.
Throughout the event, guests mingled across the courtyard, encouraging natural flow, conversation, and ease within the space.

Passed appetizers included:
- Hush Puppies, Fried Green Tomato, Vegan Ranch (gt, vegan)
- Mini Shrimp Tostada, Cilantro - Lime Grilled Shrimp, Avocado Mousse Mango - Serrano Salsa (df, gf)
- Spam Musubi Bite, Crispy Rice, Caramelized Pineapple Furikake (gt)

For dinner:

- Butter Lettuce, Shaved Carrots and Radish, Creamy Poblano Dressing, Queso Fresco, and Candied Pepitas (gt, vegetarian)
- Seared Sea Bass, Castlevetrano Olive, Orange, Pinenut Relish (df, gf)
- Chili Lime Grilled Chicken Breast, Caramelized Coconut & Pineapple Glaze (df, gf)
- Smashed Crispy Potato, Garlic, Thyme (gf, vegan)
- Coconut Creamed Corn Salad: Toasty Quinoa, Lime, Crispy Shallots, Tumeric, Bacon (df)

And for dessert:
- Peach Pie Tartlet, Basil Whipped Cream, Summer Blackberry
- Bourbon Cherry Upside Down Cake, Chocolate Almond Brittle
- Housemade “Butterfinger” Bites (gf, vegan)

sunlight and film grain, the way vegas was made to be photographed. this bridal editorial came together during a photo walk at wppi, shot entirely on 35mm film for that warm, timeless texture, soft highlights, true skin tones, a little grit in the shadows that digital just can’t fake. shooting in that harsh midday desert sun gave every frame this bright, high-contrast glow that feels more like a memory than a photo. as a seattle wedding photographer with roots in vegas, i’m always looking for reasons to shoot as a las vegas wedding photographer too, and days like this remind me why. education and community events like wppi always push me toward something purely analog like this.

no condition is necessarily better than another: golden hour, overcast skies, a single window in a dark room. each one just asks something different from me.

spring in the pacific northwest has this quiet diffused glow that turns a room into something you’d hang on a wall. as a seattle wedding photographer that’s all i need.

she’s drinking straight from the bottle and honestly? this is exactly my kind of couple.

a bride mid-swig, a groom squat-posing like he’s in a music video, a wedding party losing it in the best way. this is what it looks like when people actually let loose on their wedding day. no stiff lineup against a wall. just pure, unscripted chaos that somehow looks like art.

i’ll always carve out time for editorial portraits. but this? this is the heart of what i do. real moments, real people, real fun, and i’m just there to catch it.

this is the energy i look for in every couple i work with. the ones who trust me enough to just live their day while i document it.

when these two worlds became one, the energy is electric!

the ruins seattle is genuinely unlike anywhere else. hand painted murals covering every wall, chandeliers everywhere. it’s amazzzing!

these two brought their whole families together and it was just — a lot. in the best way. the kind of wedding where you’re trying to document everything and also just trying to take it all in.

i also shot video clips on my brand new fuji instax evo cinema and i am obsessed. that grungy, saturated 80s video look? that’s just what one setting does. i’m not getting over it anytime soon.

this is why i do this work as a seattle wedding photographer and filmmaker. nights like this, in rooms like this, with people like these! congrats to r & g!

ohhh this is a MOOOOOOD!

this dark, moody seattle editorial content day feels like a fever dream at the intersection of an outdoor speakeasy and a botanical garden….and i am obsessed!

deep chocolate silk draping pooled against the pacific northwest trees. amber roses and hydrangeas spilling over linen the color of bitter cocoa. an espresso martini tower dressed in satin ribbon, because some couples skip the champagne and do things their way, and i am here for every second of it.

this seattle wedding photography styled shoot was built for the couple who wants their day to feel like a moment – not a template. dark florals, moody color palettes, and editorial details that belong in a magazine and also on your vision board at 1am. this is what luxury wedding photography in seattle looks like when you throw out the rulebook and lean all the way in.
