I spent my yesterday traveling to Deception Pass to capture this sweet proposal!

These two traveled in from Houston to explore the PNW and J knew the beauty of Washington would make the perfect backdrop to his proposal. Especially since Deception Pass held the significance of where they spent their 5th anniversary together! We chose this spot and made our plan. Safe to say, we crushed it 💍 and I am so honored to have played a part!

The most perfect PNW cloudy day for a ferry proposal. 💍 Ferry horns in the distance, sea breeze in the air, and one unforgettable “yes.”

I met their families at the waterfront just before, where everyone was helping set up this sweet spot for the big moment. Once everything was ready, they snuck up to a nearby hill to watch it all unfold - it was such a beautiful team effort.

Pro tip: B brought a mat to kneel on so he wouldn’t get his pants dirty. We love a man who plans ahead. 😉

Eddy planned the sweetest surprise proposal for Caitlin in the private garden at Chateau Ste. Michelle — every detail was so thoughtful, from the decorations to secretly inviting her family to be there to celebrate!

I had so much fun photographing the two of them afterward and Caitlin has one of the most authentic, radiant smiles I’ve ever seen. Such a joyful day full of love, and delicious wine. 🥂💕

June has been full of proposals, but this one hit different. 🌈 Anna brought Lia to one of their favorite spots, the place they go hoping to catch a glimpse of whales or seals. While Lia was peeking through the viewfinder, Anna dropped to one knee. The moment Lia turned around, her joy was everything.

Even though I was practically in their faces with a camera, they were so wrapped up in each other it was like I wasn’t even there.

Love like this ~ unapologetic, joyful, true ~ is exactly what Pride is all about.
