Who doesn't love a beautiful proposal??
A reached out to me late this summer to capture his proposal to A. He had fallen in love with the PNW on a recent trip and knew it was the spot he needed to propose.
So how did we make it happen? We found a spot that would be relatively easy to find each other with an amazing view of Mount Rainier (Tahoma). He wanted me to be a photographer, taking photos of the scenery and ask them if I could take a couple of photos.
So here's how we did it! He paused next to me and asked A if they could take a selfie there. Her reaction? "Here? ok" (I did the same thing to my partner.) I popped in and asked if they wanted me to take a picture for them. Once we got the phone photo completed, I jumped in with my white lie! I was an amateur photographer who does not get to take photos at this park very often and would love just a couple of photos of a couple in the space, and then they could be on their way!
They said "of course, that's awesome!" and I put them into a couple of poses, with my main focus of getting them back-to-back. After I got them back to back, I stepped backwards and told them to turn around. AND THE PROPOSAL HAPPENED!
Y'all, it was so sweet. They both were teary-eyed, happy and just so in love! We then let her in on the secret that he had actually hired me and we had a photo session planned for them on the trails. I gave them about 10 min to live in their excitement before we explored as the sun went down.
This was definitely one for the books!!
Please note: When visiting Mount Rainier National Park, ALWAYS STAY ON TRAIL to protect the delicate alpine tundra. All images are taken on the trail.
