It was a sunny but chilly weekend in Odessa! What a great comeback after a two year hiatus to have the 50th Desert 100 this year. What a crowd! The starting line for the 100-mile course must have been 2 miles long.

We left shortly after the start so there aren't any race photos this year. I'll see you guys out on the track later this year! :)

Today was the last day of the Spirit of Boise Classic. For the second time in the event's history, they did a mass ascension this morning and it was beautiful. 44 balloons slowly lifted off from the park and raised up over the treeline. I took a drive around town and found a beautiful area that overlooks the city. What a great morning for a balloon event!

Facebook friends! Oh my, it's been a long long time since I've posted a substantial amount of photos or done any meaningful photography. Between the pandemic and work, I've just been completely unmotivated or too exhausted to pick up my camera.

But then September came along. September is one of the most popular months for hot air ballooning, and if you know me, you know it's hard for me to pass up a balloon rally. This weekend is the 30th annual Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic in Boise, ID. On a whim, I took Friday off work and drove to Boise to see the launch this weekend. I'm so glad I did! The balloons have been magical to watch and it's been a wonderful weekend so far. I have no plans this afternoon other than photo editing and watercoloring (my "new" pandemic hobby that has temporarily filled the photography void). Expect more photo spam in your feed over the coming days. Enjoy the photos!

It's been a while since I've posted! I went birding after work today to find the snow geese in Skagit Valley. They really aren't ever hard to find. It was so great to see them again this year!

Pretty bummed about Rimrock this year. I hope everyone is doing ok out there!

It's Friday! We made it to the weekend again (how is it the weekend already?!)! I just wanted to give a shoutout to everyone who liked, commented, shared, and PURCHASED Rimrock race photos from last weekend. You guys are the best and I can't thank you ENOUGH for continuing to support my track adventures. :)

Still contemplating my plans for THIS weekend, but I'm hoping I can rally enough oomph to get down to both Washougal and to Grays Harbor. If you see me out there, then I made it lol.

It’s almost time for Idaho! ;)

Dirt Inc. has been a part of the series for decades, and is a club that is rich in heritage. In 2018, Dirt Inc. hosted a round in our sister series, the KENDA SRT AMA West Hare Scramble Championship, and they are back to their roots for 2019 hosting the third round of the circuit.
