My babies—the twins that were the reason I went full time as a business—just graduated Kindergarten last week and I haven’t even had time to feel any of the feels. Their cousin and another bestie they’ve known since birth (all the girls in the pink gowns) also graduated kindergarten so we obviously had to make a photoshoot out of it because we have been doing that since they were all born.
I had been building my photography business on the side for 8 years prior to going full time, and as of January 2020, with twin 4 month olds on my lap, I was officially 100% in charge of my own destiny. I could make as much or as little money as I wanted and I had no freaking clue where to start but I did it. Then c*vid hit. And not only was motherhood hard, but business was, well tough when it’s literally your job to be face to face.
These babies got me through some of the hardest days as a mom and business owner. I am still navigating the delicate balance that is motherhood and business ownership but watching these girls all grow up together has been a highlight in that journey.
On to first grade for this Tiny Girl Gang and I look forward to many more memories to come 🩷
Also, the internet is a wild place, especially with the “PDF files” and AI, so don’t be surprised if I keep kids faces to a minimum (backs of heads, side profiles, stickers, blurred, etc) on here, if at all. I will still share some but it’s very hard and I ALWAYS ask permission before sharing kids’ faces anyway.
