What is stock photography?
Stock is a library of images were anyone can license images from for intended use by paying a set fee. I am with two premium stock agencies and . When I sell an image through these agencies, I get a % of the commission. You get paid more by premium agencies and there are some agencies where you get paid in pennies.

Who can get in and do they accept everything that you submit?
You have to apply and see if you get accepted. I don’t know how this thing works, but one thing is sure, getting rejected does not mean that your work is bad. They might have too many artists shooting in the similar style. Do not take it personally if you hear a no and apply again in 6 months.
Not everything that I submit gets accepted and sometimes there are editing suggestions.

Can I make a full time living by selling images on stock?
There are some people who shoot images for stock full time. You have to have 10,000 images or more to make it your full time living and couple thousands of images to make a significant income. This is what I have heard and believe it to be true. With the number of images I have, what I earn helps me get new props and buy few new courses that want to invest in. It’s a good passive income from the images that otherwise sit on my hard drive.
