I've dreamt of seeing this for years!!
Ever since I saw the movie Prometheus a decade ago or so, I've wanted to visit Iceland and especially see this waterfall that is shown in the beginning of that movie! To finally see Dettifoss and enjoy it at sunrise completely alone was MORE than a dream come true!

Experiences > fear of the unknown
When I was in my 20's, I lived life differently focused on work mostly and I honestly regret how much time I lost to that. I'm making up for it now enjoying this life as much as I possibly can, filling it with as much beauty and memorable experiences as I can.

The wisdom in that movie 😮‍💨
Honestly though, one of my all time favorite comedies 🤣. It's true though, taking life too seriously is such a waste in my opinion. I would much rather enjoy life, laugh till I cry, let my inner child out as often as possible. Makes for a much more enjoyable life 😃

Also about this video, I won't share the exact location of this waterfall, as the hike is off trail and it's easy to get lost. But I will share that it's in the Mt Adam's area and definitely worth some research to find. I will also be sharing much more about it in a new YT video coming out Sunday the 21st.

Be bear aware!!
Carry your bear spray where you can reach it, know how to use it, and always stay alert. Make noise, hike with others, watch for fresh signs, and never run if you encounter a bear. Carrying and using can buy you the time and space you need should a bear get aggressive and start to charge.

The best practice in that case is to spray a cloud low and in front of you to create a barrier. After you spray slowly back away from the cloud and bear.
