What an incredible experience ! As someone who loves black history and culture this truly made my birthday trip super special. I’m so thrilled that I was finally able to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture ! 🖤

It was more than a visit, it felt like stepping into the heartbeat of our history. Walking through those halls, I felt the weight of our past… the pain, the resilience, the brilliance, the beauty of African Americans woven into every exhibit. It’s one thing to learn about it, but to feel it? Wow.

I stood there thinking about our ancestors! Their sacrifices, their strength, everything they endured so we could stand here free. And in that moment, it hit me deep: WE ARE AMERICA. Our story is American history.

Real goosebumps. I’ll never forget this experience.

We owe it to those who came before us to live boldly, to walk in purpose, to honor their fight by chasing our dreams without fear—and becoming everything they prayed we could be. By any means. ✊🏾✨

Life updateeee ✨⚖️📸

Some of you know I’ve stepped into my legal era👩🏾‍💼which means my availability is a little tight these days, especially for portrait sessions!

Right now, my main focus is corporate events (don’t worry—I’ve got an amazing team behind me so we’re still running those like clockwork✨).

For portraits—because I know y’all want me behind the camera 🫶🏽—I’m currently only booking:
📅 Saturdays
🌆 Select weekday evenings (minimal)

And those spots go FAST, so sessions need to be booked about 2 months in advance ⏳

Early 2013, I decided to pivot from starting my own daycare/learning center to starting a photography business. I am so glad that I did. 13 years of business as of March 1, 2013. It feels like yesterday I had my 10 year anniversary party at my studio. 📸 I really just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has patronized my business. Trusting me with some of the most intimate, special and once in a lifetime moments of you lives. That means the world to me. 🥹 So many people tell me, “my daughter needed photos and I just thought of you” or “such and such referred me” or “you’ve taken photos of so many people that I know.” What’s really special is that my community supports me. I’m proud of that and so grateful. God is good.
