Picture Perfect Dates was born out of a problem I suspect a lot of people can relate to: picture inequality.
My boyfriend and I recently came back from two camping trips. When I looked through the photos afterwards, I discovered I had over 100 beautiful photos of him. Great angles, good lighting, thoughtful composition, all edited and ready to share.
Of me? Two.
One of them was a selfie.
The other required so much editing, cropping, and lighting correction that it barely counts.
The reality is that many couples have one person who naturally takes photos and one who doesn’t. Nobody teaches us how to frame a shot, use natural light, direct a pose, or make someone feel comfortable in front of a camera. If you’re under 25, you may have grown up taking thousands of photos and videos. If you’re older, you probably didn’t.
The result is that one person ends up with all the memories and the other ends up with all the frustration.
Picture Perfect Dates exists to change that.
We turn date night into a fun, guided experience where couples learn simple photography skills, practice taking better photos of each other, and create memories together. By the end, both people walk away with great photos and a little more confidence behind and in front of the camera.
It’s about connection, experiences, and finally bringing some balance to the great picture inequality that plagues couples everywhere.
