My friend Marc just shared this beautiful write-up about this past weekend, and honestly… I wasn’t expecting to be mentioned quite as much as I was. ❤️

But more than that, the way he captured the feeling of the night, the people, the history, and what this whole weekend meant brought some unexpected tears to my eyes.

I’m currently somewhere in the air, heading back to reality after being wrapped up in this little bubble of nostalgia for the last few days — reconnecting with people, memories, and a music community that shaped so much of who I am.

Marc put words to something that’s been a little hard for me to articulate myself. As you read about the night through his perspective — and his own involvement in the scene — you might start to get a feel for the impact of the music community I grew up in, and why this weekend felt so incredibly meaningful to me.

For my last evening on the east coast I visited Longwood Gardens. It had been a good 4yrs since I last been there. Usually I would visit during winter months as well - so walking around during summer time was a completely different experience and feel.

It was the perfect way to end the trip - walking around with my brothers, sister-in-law and momma! Obviously we were missing some of the family members, but it still felt pretty special!

What an incredible second day of Chris Haug/Paul Campagna this weekend! ❤️

I truly have no words for how special and amazing this weekend has been. Getting to reconnect with friends, revisit memories from 25+ years ago, and learn even more about the incredible history of the Delaware music scene has been such a meaningful experience.

I’m feeling incredibly grateful to have been a part of it all — and to celebrate the people, music, memories, and community that shaped such an important part of my life.

Thanks again to Chris & sweats_._ for everything they put into this- and Create Magic Art Shop for giving the space for such a special event!
