Both Ferrari 499P lead the first 2,5 hours with Ferrari #50 in the lead during 26 laps of the first 74 covered at Circuit Of The Americas (COTA). Cadillac #38 then took over during 30 laps until Toyota #7 took the lead for 53 laps but had to retire 11 minutes before the end leaving the win to Ferrari #50. Hypercar qualifying was very tight, at the Circuit of The Americas this afternoon, with the top 13 cars separated by less than a second. Alpine, Ferrari, Genesis and Toyota got their two hypercars qualified for hyperpole while Aston Martin and Cadillac had one car qualified for the ultimate session.
Hyperpole was even more tight as Giovinassi and Aitken did qualify with the same lap time and only 0.050 seconds covered the top four with Milesi’s Alpine in P3 and Tincknell’s Aston Martin in P4. Get more photos and drivers quotes at www.carracingreporter.com.

The 499Ps fielded by the official Ferrari – AF Corse team and the #83 car entered by the AF Corse will tackle Lone Star Le Mans at the Circuit of the Americas for a six-hour race on Sunday 6 September. Ferrari sits third in the World Manufacturers’ Championship. The Maranello squad enjoyed success during the previous two seasons at COTA with two pole positions ( #51 crew in 2024 and the #83 in 2025), a race win in 2024 with #83 crew of Yifei Ye, Robert Kubica and Robert Shwartzman and a P2 in 2025 with Fuoco, Molina and Nielsen in the #50.
