I want to tell you why I'm going to Seattle.

In 1995, I photographed a wedding. The couple was young, full of joy, completely in love. I was newer to my career then, still learning what it meant to photograph a moment that mattered.

Thirty years later, they invited me back.

Same hotel. Same vows. Many of the same people, older, deeper, carrying thirty years of a shared life between them.

And they wanted me there to photograph it.

I've been doing this for over three decades. I've photographed hundreds of weddings, thousands of family sessions. But being called back for a milestone like this...that is the whole point. That is what portraits are for.

I'm heading to Seattle on June 12th, and I have a small number of sessions open for families while I'm there.
Snoqualmie Point Park on Friday, June 12th.
Pike Place on Sunday, June 14th.

The tiny fingers and sleepy eyes that change so quickly in the first year of life.

One of my favorite things about photographing babies is documenting these fleeting moments in a gentle, natural, and heartfelt way.

There’s no rush.
No pressure for perfection.

Just creating space to capture your little one exactly as they are in this season. Because before you know it, these tiny moments become treasured memories you wish you could hold onto just a little longer.

Lifestyle photography allows families to remember not only what their baby looked like, but what this season felt like; soft, sweet, beautiful, and full of love.

It's Friday afternoon. You've driven out past the city, past the noise. The air is cooler. The mountains are right there, closer than they feel from home. Your kids are running ahead of you on a wide open stretch of grass while the late afternoon light turns everything golden. You're not posed. You're just together, in a place that feels bigger than your everyday life. And I'm there, quietly capturing all of it.

Or it's Sunday morning. The market is waking up. There's color everywhere, flowers, produce, the worn texture of a place that's been alive for over a century. Your family moves through it naturally, the way you would on any weekend morning, and somewhere in that movement is a portrait that looks exactly like who you are right now.

These are the two settings I'm offering this week, one afternoon, one morning, both just outside or right in the heart of Seattle.

I understand it. Life is full. Coordinating everyone feels like a project.

But here's what I've watched happen over 30 years of photographing families:
Next year, your youngest will be taller. The dynamic shifts. The season you were in, the one that felt so ordinary, is gone. And the portraits you meant to take don't exist.

The families who have art on their walls didn't wait for the perfect time. They chose a time and made it meaningful.

I'm coming to Seattle on June 12th and 14th with a small number of sessions open for local families.
