Last night the Adam Ezra Group put on a fantastic show at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks. Local singer-songwriter, Clover Stieve, joined Adam for a song near the end of the set and the whole band for the last song ("9 to 5"). It was a full house for one of the last few free shows of the season. The weather cooperated so it was a lovely eening.

Wednesday night Shinyribs brought the house down. The band is so much fun. Singer-songwriter Scott Strickland opened with a great set. What a night!

Here are photos of The Mavericks and Friends show at Penn's Peak Friday night. This is "The Music Lives on Tour", celebrating the music of Raul Malo, who passed away in December. James Otto and Emily West took the helm for lead vocals. No one is trying to replace Raul, just continue his legacy. The band brought their A game, and you could feel the love in the house. It was such a great night; many tears were shed but the joy was palpable and, of course it was bittersweet. I could go on, but I'm much better at photography than writing out my feelings, so I hope I captured the essence of the evening. Enjoy the photos!

The Verve Pipe last night! They were amazing - I don't understand why this show wasn't sold out. It definitely should have been. Go see them if they come your way.

Saturday afternoon those who attended were treated to Jason Petty's incarnation of Hank Williams. He sang Hanks's songs, as well as some that influenced Hank, and gave us a great history of the man. I highly recommend this show if you're a Hank Williams fan.

Saturday night Elvin Bishop's Big Fun Trio played some terrific blues. Of course, they played his hit "Fooled Around and Fell in Love", but my favorites were the blues tunes. Hope to se him again soon!
