Want your toddler or little one to have a smoother photo session? Don’t make the goal “perfect pictures.” Make the goal a good experience.
Feed them beforehand, bring a favorite snack or comfort item, and avoid putting too much pressure on them to smile or sit still. Let them warm up, explore, and be themselves.
And most importantly, don’t panic when they aren’t cooperating. Kids can feel that stress, and sometimes the best photos come right after they’ve gotten a little silly, curious, or distracted.
The less pressure they feel, the more natural the session becomes, and that’s when we get the photos that actually feel like them.
