Preparation

Last week, I received a call from Irvin to engage the services of Wes Guerrier Photography.

We talked about shooting location options, but when he shared with me that he had a friend who had an office where there were law books, I immediately suggested I travel to Aventura vs shooting on the West coast of FL.

Having been shooting for 8 years now, I had learned so much about preparation for a shoot, and preparation requires experience, planning, investing in tools, lighting equipment, etc and a disciplined state of mind for the best outcome.

Fast-forward to this past Saturday, I showed up with a trunk full of every possible tool/accessory to create the best possible image, fully equipped.

However, upon the assessment of the environment, and the abundance of natural light, I made the decision to first shoot using the natural light coming from the window.

This shot was the very first click of the 2-hour.shoot.

I came prepared, but God provided an abundance of light to have the greatest impact.

The equipment I brought must have impressed the office staff which led to the owner of the company to pop in to meet Irvin and I.

I believe I landed another client without even trying.

Lesson is, your journey prepares you for your destiny. All of the work, time, investment, sacrifice, and determination will manifest...
