One in 68 children in the U.S. is affected by autism—but new research suggests that current diagnostic methods overlook girls, meaning even more kids may be on the spectrum.
Behavioral and preliminary neuroimaging findings suggest autism manifests differently in girls.
Girls with autism may be harder to diagnose for several reasons, including criteria developed specifically around males and overlapping diagnoses such as obsessive-compulsive disorder or anorexia.

In a new March 2017 study published by the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation the amazing advantages of therapeutic riding for those with special needs was confirmed and amplified.

http://journals.lww.com/ajpmr/Abstract/publishahead/Therapeutic_Effects_of_Horseback_Riding.98713.aspx

The study confirmed that strength, motor skills , muscle symmetry and psycho-social skills can ALL be greatly enhanced leading to an overall improvement in quality of life.

This is my Son Hayden riding his horse Pea. Hayden has severe Autism and very little in the way of independent living skills , yet when he's riding he performs complex tasks , acts with care and seriousness and enjoys a great sense of fulfillment.

I can't recommend highly enough that you explore Therapeutic riding
