My favorite part of every wedding day has to be when the bride is getting ready.

The excitement. The anticipation. The quiet moments before everything changes.

Watching her step into her wedding gown for the first time, with her hair, makeup and every little detail complete, takes my breath away every single time.

These moments are so much more than "getting ready." They're a mom buttoning the dress. A hug from a sister. Laughter with lifelong friends. Happy tears that become some of the most cherished memories of the day.

If there's one piece of advice I give every couple, it's this, don't rush this part of your wedding day. Slow down, soak it all in, and let these moments become part of your story.

It was such an honor to capture the engagement of my dear late friend Walter's son, Christopher, and his wonderful fiancée, Samantha.

I've had the privilege of watching all of the Jelacic boys grow into kind, handsome, stand-up young men and I know Walter would be so proud of them. It was also such a joy getting to know Samantha, she fits right into this amazing family.

We spent the afternoon exploring Yale for their engagement session and even though it wasn't exactly warm, they were great sports and made every moment fun.

Christopher and Samantha, thank you for trusting me to capture this special chapter. I can't wait to celebrate with you again on your wedding day!❤️
