A family is never just one story happening at a time.

There’s the marriage that started it. The kids becoming more and more themselves. The relationships between siblings that have nothing to do with their parents at all. Everyone growing and changing, while somehow still belonging to the same little world together.

Maybe that’s why I love family photographs so much. There’s always more happening in them than you can see at first glance.

There’s a new tenderness in this stage of family life—when the children are no longer little, but they still lean in.

Still reach for you.
Still laugh so hard with each other that everything else falls away for a minute.

My advice?

Take the time while you have it.

Not because every moment is perfect, but because every season is fleeting.

One day you might look back and realize the things you thought were ordinary were, in fact, the most extraordinary parts of your story.

A couple months ago, I shared a post about this family—that very same day, this sweet momma emailed asking if I’d photograph them again…

It was simply meant to be, and I couldn’t be more thankful the timing worked out while she was back in town. Getting to spend another evening photographing this joyful, fun-loving, affectionate crew was such a gift ♥️

SUMMER MODEL CALLS ☀️

I have 3 very specific, styled session opportunities coming up! Sessions are complimentary, and selected models will receive a gallery of images in exchange for their participation.

First, some exciting news! I’ve been invited to collaborate with Joyfolie to photograph a few pieces from their newest collection! ✨ I’m looking for models to help me bring these pieces to life and create imagery that may be used in Joyfolie’s marketing.

I’m also working on something new! I’ve been diving deeper into working with light and expanding my skills with photographing in full, midday sun. I have a creative maternity shoot in mind that will give me the chance to stretch myself a little, experiment, and continue growing as an artist—and I’m looking for a willing model to help me bring that vision to life! ☀️
