Sequoia National Park sits high above the Central Valley of California, in the perfect place to witness magical sunsets above the clouds! This was taken at the beginning of this year, along the General's Highway.

Early summer is Springtime in the High Sierra Nevada! This scene features The Watchtower, an impressive cliff face that overlooks the Marble Fork of the Kaweah River in Tokopah Valley. While everything was green down here, the high mountains above were still buried in tens of feet of snow, ensuring the rivers would be full to the brim with flowing water for a long time to come!

Valhalla is a well known locale along the High Sierra Trail in Sequoia National Park. Many photos feature an upstream perspective, looking towards Hamilton Lake, and the beautifully massive cluff face, Angels Wings, looming over it.

On this adventure, I miscalculated the first day's difficulty by a comically large amount, and missed out on the classic view with fading daylight. I plopped down at a stream crossing in exhaustion, and caught up on some much needed food and drink. With a few moments of recovery, I was able to take in my surroundings, and the striking beauty of the sunset. I didn't miss out on Valhalla, but instead rewarded a new perspective of it.

We had just set camp outside of Bishop, California, and most of our group tucked in for a nap. I decided I wanted to explore a bit and see what our surroundings looked like! A quick 300 foot scramble later, I was up on a ridgeline where I was able to obtain this fantastic shot of Mt Tom, in all its springtime glory!

Springtime in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada is such a beautiful time for photography! Lupine have quickly become one of my favorite flowers of this landscape as well, with their dazzling simplicity.

Winter is my favorite time of the year for photography. There is a quiet beauty in the simplicity offered by a snowy white landscape, almost as a blank canvas, eager to witness the beauty the rest of the world can bestow upon it.
