To be able to officially say, "I am an author," feels incredibly humbling.
It's a dream I've carried for a long time, but more than anything, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for the hope this book may bring to others.
As I reflect on my own journey through bone marrow cancer, I clearly remember how powerful it was to hear stories from people who had walked through hardship and still found hope. Sometimes a single story is all it takes to remind someone they can keep going.
That's exactly why I wrote Hope Grows in Muddy Places: Lessons from the Cattail.
This book was created for those moments in life when someone you love is hurting and words fall short.
It's the gift you give when you don't know what to say.
A reminder that they are not alone. A reminder that God is present in the mud. A reminder that hope still grows.
Today, I'm celebrating the launch of my very first book, but even more importantly, I'm celebrating that God gave me the opportunity and the words to write it.
To me, this is about much more than selling books.
It's about sharing hope. It's about serving others. It's about leaving the world a little better than we found it.
And this is only the beginning.
Later this week, I'll be sharing something called The Hope Grows Mission—a mission that is deeply connected to the reason this book exists in the first place.
Go ahead and share this post to offer someone hope!
Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and prayed for me along the way. I am forever grateful.
