Engagement | Nate & Lydia >> and Kip. The story on how we tricked Lydia.

I shot Nate's senior photos years ago, so when he contacted me about engagement photos? Oh heck yes. Of course I wanted them to have the Humke look and engagement pictures are usually shot with a long lens and natural lighting - soooo, not my style! We came up with a plan. Nate would ask Lydia if she would mind being a model for an old family friend who was building her portfolio with couples photos. When she said yes, I just told her to wear a cute dress and do her nails . . . she fell for it all.

BONUS! What I failed to mention is Nate and Kip were besties back in grade school. Then Nate moved to Beaver Dam. Luckily, Kip happened to be around and showed up at the end of the shoot. Without that friendship the photos would not have happened! (And just have to add, you know how NICE Nate is? When Kip played hockey against Beaver Dam, Nate and his friends would cheer for Kip when he scored against their team! Now that is a pretty great friend.)

Lydia you have such a fantastic guy!!!! I'm honored to have tricked you into this engagement shoot! Congratulations! ❤️
